Boone Earns Two Honors

The week of February 5, 2007 was filled with honors for New York University senior center Jason Boone, who was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week, as well as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Player of the Week.

In leading his team to two UAA home victories, Boone averaged 19 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, and 2.5 blocks per game.

Boone was outstanding in the Violets’ victory over previously undefeated Washington University on February 2, scoring 16 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and blocking three shots. Boone added a “double-double” with 22 points and 11 rebounds to go with four assists in a 79-76 win over 19th-ranked University of Chicago, on February 4.
