At Total Health Chemist we are wheelchair friendly and even have a wheelchair available for you to use in town while shopping.  We are also baby and family friendly and have a baby change and feeding room available for the public to use.

Prescriptions

Save your feet, time and energy! – Drop your prescription straight into the pharmacy when you are finished with the doctor or nurse OR have your doctor print your prescription at the chemist – your prescription is often ready before you have finished paying at the reception counter!

New Patients are very welcome – it is no trouble to update your prescription count from another pharmacy. FREE DELIVERY – don’t worry if you don’t live close by, we deliver all over town (including Kopeopeo) everyday,. So drop you script in once you have seen the doctor and your repeats can be delivered to your door when you need them! With a little notice we also frequently deliver to rural addresses, Edgecumbe, Taneatua, Awakeri, Matata, Thornton etc – NOT A PROBLEM.

Medico Packs

Great if you have trouble remembering to take your tablets. We will pack your tablets into these medication organisers for you – FOR FREE.

Specialist Advice

Megan has La Leche League breastfeeding training (and as a mother of 3) is happy to advise about breastfeeding problems and nutrition etc. Paula has an interest in Diabetes (with postgraduate study with the College of Pharmacists) and is interested in talking to those with diabetes. Paula has also done an introductory course in homeopathy and has used these with success on both herself and her children.

Paula & Megan are accredited Pharmacists to provide the emergency contraceptive pill.

Xenical 

All of our pharmacists are happy to discuss weight loss issues and with the release of Xenical to pharmacy sales, have up to date knowledge of the tricks and benefits of weight loss.









Antifungals – Whether they are are tropical or oral are available form the pharmacy, along with information on the best way to treat the problem. No need to suffer!

Ear Piercing - We have a new ear piercing system – a more gentle way to pierce the ears (great for the children. Ear piercing of children under 5 years is not a problem.

Body Piercing Clinic - We provide body piercing in a professional and totally private clinic environment. Ears, nose, eye-brow, nipple, navel, labret, tongues and beauty spots. Appointments may be required and parental consent is required for under 16 year olds.
