INFORMATION ABOUT US
Home-based Childcare is a great choice for you and your child.  We care for children from birth to five, and also provide before and after school care and school holiday programmes for children over five.  Homebased care is flexible, and fits in with the hours you need care.

Care is provided in the homes of carefully chosen, trained Early Childhood Caregivers who can give your child the one to one attention they deserve.  An individual programme is developed for each child using the N.Z. Early Childhood Curriculum "Te Whaariki" We provide age appropriate toys and equipment to ensure your childs play and development needs are met at every stage of their journey through childhood.

A maximum of four children can be cared for at any one time, although only two of these may be under two years old.  The five Registered Early Childhood Teachers on our staff work with the carers and children observing, providing support and ongoing coaching.  The ongoing monitoring of your childs care situation gives you the comfort of knowing your child is in the best environment to thrive, play, learn and grow.

We believe children grow and learn best in an environment where they are able to form trusting relationships with their carer, are cared for and nurtured as individuals and have the appropriate educational input to develop good communication skills for their future.

Our service is licensed by the Ministry of Education and Children Youth & Family, and has been working successfully with children and families in the Eastern Bay of Plenty for eight years.

OUR FEES
Fees are subsidised by Anglican Care which means high quality childcare is affordable for all families and children.  Families who earn less than $70,000 per year will also qualify for a subsidy from WINZ.  Care for children over five is offered as either home-based care or in our “Schools Out” centre which is open before and after school and in the holidays.

REGULAR RATE
$3.00 per hour:  Parents pay $2.50 per hour, Anglican Care subsidises 50c per hour.
 
WHAT WINZ PAYS:
High Rate = $2.84 per hour.  FREE CARE Anglican Care subsidy is 16c per hour
Mid Rate = $1.98 per hour.  PARENTS PAY 70c per hour.  Anglican Care subsidy is 32c per hour
Low Rate = $1.10 per hour.  PARENTS PAY $1.50 per hour.  Anglican Care subsidy is 40c per hour
 
AFTER SCHOOL CARE IN A HOME:  $4.50 per hour.  WINZ subsidy as listed below
No subsidy = PARENTS PAY $4.00 per hour, Anglican Care subsidy is 50c per hour
High Rate = $2.84 per hour.  PARENTS PAY $1.60 per hour – Anglican Care subsidy is 6c per hour
Mid Rate = $1.98 per hour.  PARENTS PAY $2.45 per hour – Anglican Care subsidy is 7c per hour
Low Rate = $1.10 per hour.  PARENTS PAY $3.30 per hour – Anglican Care subsidy is 10c per hour
 
AFTER SCHOOL CARE AT “SCHOOLS OUT”:  $3.20 per hour.  WINZ subsidy as listed below
No subsidy = PARENTS PAY $3.00 per hour- Anglican Care subsidy is 20c per hour
High Rate = $2.84 per hour.  PARENTS PAY 30c per hour – Anglican Care subsidy is 6c per hour
Mid Rate = $1.98 per hour.  PARENTS PAY 80c per hour – Anglican Care subsidy is 22c per hour
Low Rate = $1.10 per hour.  PARENTS PAY $1.90 per hour – Anglican Care subsidy is 20c per hour
