Situated adjacent to the Tarawera River, we are located in a quiet and peaceful area of Kawerau. The Motel comprises of 6 one bedroom units which sleep up to 3 people. 2 new upmarket units with queen size beds and spacious ensuites. Also 2 large family units which sleep up to 6 people, with views overlooking the river.
All units are fully self contained and offer Sky T.V. Broadband internet. Telephones. Heating. Portacot, Laundry facilities and B.B.Q. available. Continental and cooked breakfasts served in your room on request.

We are centrally situated being 10 minutes from the lakes. 30 minutes to Whakatane on the coast with safe swimming beaches and fishing, and 45 minutes to Rotorua City renowned for its thermal activity and Maori History and culture.

FAMILY UNITS: New to the Tarawera river lodge/motel are our large family units which can sleep up to 6 people. Each unit is fully self contained and offers sky TV, telephones and great views of the Tarawera river and Mt Putauaki.

Modern bathroom facilities also include hair dryer etc as well as all the home comforts you need.

Sky TV, Broadband Internet and telephones are included in all units.

ACTIVITIES and ATTRACTIONS
For a relaxing stay there are numerous activities available. Trout fishing on your doorstep in the Tarawera river, and the surrounding lakes. Kayaking on the river or nearby Lake Rotoma. Guided tramps to the spectacular Tarawera Falls. Also round Lake Tarawera and on to Lake Okataina. See www.kiwifeetnz.com Guided 1 and 2 hour horse Treks nearby. Close to picturesque 18 hole golf course. Also free thermally heated swimming pool.
