What are lash extensions?

Lash extensions are semi-permanent synthetic hairs which are applied strand by strand to your natural lashes.  Extensions are carefully applied one at a time using a specially formulated, semi-permanent glue that will not irritate or damage the natural lash. Lash Extensions are not at all like other lashes where the strip or individual lashes are applied to the skin, lash extensions are attached directly to the lash itself. This thus results in more dense lashes. Women love these lashes, because they say one does not have to wear make-up especially mascara and you wake up looking fresh and ready to start the day. 

What to expect with a lash appointment:

When you arrive, we will have a consultation to make sure we give you the lashes you want and deserve. -We will then wash your lashes and start prepping them by using a pad and tape to make sure your bottom lashes do not get stuck in the upper lashes. - lashes are applied and each different style of lashes take between 1h 15 mins up to 2 hours. - after the application we will remove the pads and take and dry your lashes with a lash fan.

Light Hybrid lashes:

Light Hybrid lashes are a  combination between two styles namely Classic and volume lashes– this combination creates a look that is full, but still looks more natural.

Light hybrids are less intense than the Kim K lash extensions and are not as full.

Lashes still have spikes in between the volume lashes and they appear quite light and fluffy.

This is a great type of lash to choose if you do want lashes that are different lengths which creates a natural look. The fact that these type of lashes have different lengths that are combined, result in it being less obvious when a client loses some lashes.

Medium Hybrid lashes:

Medium Hybrid lashes are a  combination between two styles namely Classic and volume lashes– this combination creates a look that is full, but still looks more natural.

Medium hybrids are less intense than the Kim K lash extensions and are not as full, but it is more full than Light hybrids.

Medium hybrid lashes still have spikes in between the volume lashes and they appear quite light and natural.This is a great type of lash to choose if you do want lashes that are different lengths which creates a natural look. The fact that these lashes have different lengths that are combined, result in it being less obvious when a client looses some lashes.

Light Volume lashes:

Volume Lashes Volume lashes refer to super lightweight lashes that are crafted into a fan, before being applied to individual natural lashes. This technique increases your lash count ,giving you a dramatic look in comparison to your own natural lashes.

Light volumes are the perfect fit for ladies who are wanting a more natural type of lashes. This type of lash is perfect for ladies who have not had lash extensions before, or women who feel they are more mature and don’t want too have too dramatic looking lashes. These lashes are a perfect fit for clients who want to enhance there eyes, but they want them to still look natural for an everyday wear type of look.

Volume lashes:

Volume lashes refer to lighter weight lash that is crafted into a fan, before being applied to individual natural lashes. This technique increases your lash count ,giving you a dramatic look in comparison to your own natural lashes.

Volumes are the perfect fit for ladies who are wanting more natural type of lashes. This type of lash is perfect for ladies who have not had lash extensions before, or women who feel they are more mature and don’t want too have too dramatic looking lashes. These lashes are a perfect fit for clients who want to enhance there eyes, but they want them to still look natural for an everyday wear type of look.

A Classic set of lashes is done by attaching One extension that is dipped into the adhesive and applied to one of your natural lashes. This is not like strip cluster lashes, which are applied to the skin of the eyelid. Each lash is applied to a single natural hair. Classic lash extensions are also known as individual lashes.

Classic eyelashes are the most traditional style, because the results look natural, they are not heavy to the eye and, if done properly, they won’t damage your natural lashes. Classic lash extensions also tend to last longer than the cluster lashes such as Hybrid, volumes and mega volumes.

These lashes give the effect of elongated lashes and it looks like you are wearing mascara.

If you are after a set that has a lot of volume, classics will not be the right choice for you. Classics are the perfect set for clients who don’t want dramatic eyelashes.

Kim K/ Whispy Lashes:

Hybrid lashes are a perfect combination of two styles of lashes , for those who want thick and long lashes but still a more natural look.

Hybrid lashes are a  combination between two styles namely Classic and Russian volume lashes– this combination creates a look that is full, but still looks more natural than the mega volumes. Spikes are created by a cluster of longer lashes and put in between the volume lashes, making sure there are longer and shorter lashes throughout the set, which gives a more natural look. This is known as a Whispy or Kim K look.

The reason why these lashes are also so popular is that when lashes are shedding then the lashes still tend to look good due to the different lengths that are used throughout the whole set. The areas where there was hair loss is usually not so prominent as with Mega volumes.

Mega Volume Lashes:

These lashes are Bold and beautiful which definitely lives up to its “Mega” name and creates a super full and glamorous look.

Mega volume lashes are similar to the traditional volume lashes that many already use. The main difference between them is that a mega volume lash extension set uses .05 and .03 lash extensions to create a fan with up to 16 lash extensions, which is significant compared to classic lash extensions , which generally has a 1:1 ratio.

Mega volume lashes allow for a denser and darker look without making your client’s eye feel heavy and need to work harder to support the weight of the fan. They also last between 3-5 weeks without any issues.

Mega volume eyelash extensions are the ideal choice for those who want maximum volume without the need for additional mascara! This lash style enhances your lash look to create a mega-dramatic look. Babes who love hitting the town at night but don’t want the added hassle of applying coat after coat of mascara for that extra flair may love the effect of mega volume lashes.

Alternatively, boss babes looking for a happy medium between the natural look and the dramatic kick may choose to stick with traditional volume lashes.

Lash Lifts:

A lash lift is a natural eyelash treatment, almost like a perm for your eyelashes. A lash lift is done by using a special chemical solution that sets the shape of the natural eyelashes. This treatment will create the look of longer, fuller, and lifted eyelashes which makes eyes appear less tired and more youthful.

A two-step solution would be put onto the natural eyelashes, then after the solutions have processed and has been taken off, a tint and a treatment is put on the lashes.

The lashes appear to look longer due to the curl and the tint that makes the lashes darker.

This is a very suitable treatment for clients who have naturally long lashes, who want a natural look(still looking like you have mascara on), who want to make their eyes pop but don’t want lash extensions.
