The Whakatane Sportfishing Club is located at the main Whakatane wharf in Muriwai Drive beside the picturesque Whakatane river.

Club facilities include Skippers Restaurant, Private Hire & Conference Facilities, modern lounge/dining area and covered deck downstairs. The Anchorage Lounge Bar upstairs overlooks the main downstairs bar and lounge area opens up to the outside viewing / dining deck with unobstructed views of the river, Whale Island and White Island (active Volcano) and the ocean beyond. The bar is open daily from 11am to close and our warm, friendly and efficient staff will make your visit to the club a pleasure.

Whakatane Sportsfishing Club hosts a number of major fishing tournaments in Whakatane each year.
