The experienced guides on your trip provide commentary on the ecological and historical value of the Motu River plus you will experience the added excitement of the adventure and wilderness when jet boating on the river. We also offer 'Hunting Drop Offs' & 'Rafting Drop Offs' for those that wish to explore the Motu River further.

MOTU RIVER JET TOURS
Motu River Jet Boat Tours offers an unforgettable 1.5-hour jet boating adventure through one of New Zealand's most pristine wilderness areas, located in the Bay of Plenty near Whakatane. This thrilling tour takes you along the Motu River, offering stunning views of the remote mountains and untouched native bush. As you cruise along the river, you'll pass through the last significant area of untracked native bush in the North Island, with the Motu River banks covered in rare and unique flora. Rich in Māori history, the river was also the first in New Zealand to be fully protected by a government conservation order.
The tour is available on two boats: a larger boat that accommodates up to 9 passengers, and a smaller boat for 6 passengers. We recommend booking ahead, especially during the peak months of October through April, to ensure you don’t miss out.
