Coast Care Bay of Plenty

COAST CARE EASTERN BAY OF PLENTY

Coast Care Eastern Bay of Plenty is a community partnership programme, which uses local knowledge and enthusiasm to restore the form and function of the dunes in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.

The Coast Care Coordinator and Coast Care contractors offer advice on reducing and repairing dune damage, help facilitate activities, and supply the volunteers with free resources. The resources include native dune plants, informative brochures, fertilisers and building materials for constructing fences and sand ladders, and of course great morning and afternoon teas on project days!

The Whakatane Community Toy Library is located within James Street School Whakatane. Access the Toy Library via Henderson Street where there is plenty of room to park and walk to the Toy Library room.

A Toy Library operates like a book library. By joining and becoming a member you are entitled to hire toys, games, and puzzles for a period of 2 weeks (4 weeks if living rurally).

Eastern Bay Of Plenty Riding For The Disabled is a part of a long established voluntary organisation and generous community support it can continue to deliver a wonderful service to the community.

Our riding clients range from pre-schools to 58 yrs. they benefit from fun filled and challenging therapeutic riding programme specifically designed for each rider.

The Programmes help children and adults with disabilities to develop a love of horse riding while gaining self-confidence, social skills and physical strength.

An interest in Hot Rodding. Ideally you will have a car (or a project), but this is not essential. Members must attend a minimum of 3 meetings per year.

Intending members must attend 3 consecutive meetings, then apply in writing to the club before membership will be considered.
